Micro Laser Peels

In the photos on the right, the patients cheif complaint was sagging skin under the eye. This client wanted very little down time. Several light peels as opposed to one very deep peel were performed. This reduceds the downtime for each treatment .

The Micro Laser Peel is our specialty. The Micro Laser Peelis the next generation skin treatment beyond microdermabrasion or chemical peels, and is extremely effective skin rejuvenation. This procedure is a superficial exfoliation resurfacing skin treatment. The depth of this type of peel is specifically controlled by the energy of the Erbium:YAG laser, and is predetermined by evaluation of patient’s desires and treatment goals and the physician.

Micro Laser Peel is offered as superior alternative to other methods of exfoliation, such as enzymatic, alpha/beta hydroxy acid or chemical peeling. Unlike its chemical predecessors, the depth of penetration using an Erbium Laser can be controlled to within a specific micron. For instance, the depth of a Micro laser Peel is typically 10 microns. But this depth is variable and can be as little as 3 or 6 microns or as much as 20 microns. Much deeper peels require more recovery time but the results are outstanding for eliminating wrinkles and improving texture and tone. Unlike chemical peels, hyper or hypo pigmentation is extremely rare using an Erbium laser.

The Erbium laser provides for ultimate precision in skin resurfacing, allowing the operator to set treatment parameters for as superficial as a 10-micron epidermal ablation to deep surgical skin resurfacing, equivalent to the depth of treatment accomplished by CO2 laser. Micro Laser Peel is the newest and most effective way presently available to treat accumulated sun damage and aging skin without the downtime of deeper surgical skin
resurfacing.

Micro Laser Peel is a smoothing or polishing procedure for the skin. The goal of the procedure is removal of damage with the intent of improving vitality of the skin. Deeper treatments yield more significant improvement, but also have more downtime for healing. Uneven pigmentation, fine epidermal lines, actinic keratoses, and keratinization are significantly improved.

Micro laser Peels are not intended to replace surgery, dermabrasion or deep ablative laser resurfacing. Surgical intervention may be necessary to treat dermal scarring or tighten loose skin.

The Micro Laser Peel is the next generation skin treatment beyond microdermabrasion, for extremely effective skin rejuvenation. Patient may discuss goals with the Physician, RN or the Esthetician. Results will vary according to skin type and condition upon starting treatment.

It is strongly recommended that a program of home skin care product usage be undertaken to further any gains made with the treatments. A series of 4 treatments at 3 month intervals is suggested, along with a maintenance protocol of high quality home care products.
