Rosacea Therapy BeforeRosacea Therapy

Rosacea is our specialty. We understand how to use our many lasers and light based therapy devices in combination to get the best and most lasting results for our clients. Using a single, superficial modality like IPL or even BBL does not deliver long lasting results of redness clearing. To achieve optimal clearing of rosacea, you need to address the enlarged feeder vessels that are deep with in the skin. Using IPL or BBL works on the surface of the skin only.

STONEWATER Skin & Laser has several Lasers and Advanced Light Therapy devices specifically designed to treat vascularity on the face and body. We have had great success reducing and in some cases completely eliminated facial redness. While Light therapies do not cure Rosacea they are very effective in managing this condition and reducing the physical and emotional discomfort of those who suffer from it. The client in these photos has had only 2 treatments and was photographed before her 3rd treatment. This type of clearing can last up to 5 or more years.

Rosacea is a chronic vascular condition that affects about 13 million people in the United States. It usually first appears at early 20s as subtle reddening on the face. Over time this may develop into some inflammation and be accompanied by skin eruptions. About half of Rosacea suffers also have some sort of symptoms with their eyes (known as ocular Rosacea). If left untreated, over time Rosacea can result in the appearance of red lines which result from swollen or damaged veins. people with fair skin and adults between the ages of 30 and 60.

New research into the cause of Rosacea is promising and suggests an autoimmune component and it is possible that this new (2008) research may lead to a new classes of drugs which will change the current pharmaceutical approach which is primarily anti-biotics.

While these treatments will help reduce the complication of infection and reduce swelling, they do nothing to address the increased vascularity near the skins surface which is responsible for the visible redness and open lesions.

Rosacea is a progressive vascular condition and if the prescribed treatment does not include a plan to reduce existing vascular lesions the condition progressively deteriorates quality and appearance of the skin. Each new outbreak adds new veins near the skins surface as the body tries to heal itself.
